Seven lives lost due to shack fire

A family of ten lost seven members in Senthumole Section, Koster in North West Province yesterday. After their shack was set on fire while they were asleep.

The family lost a 75-year old grandmother and six children aged between 3 and 12 years old.  The suspected arson attack is believed to have happened in the early hours of the morning.

Authorities are still investigating and according to police reports only three people survived.

Brian Setswambung, North West acting provincial head of communication said Premier Supra Mahumapelo had condemned the attack.
