Ajax Cape Town and Santos will be facing a challenge of looking for new playing venues during November and December 2009/2010 season.
Athlone stadium will be under renovations for the World Cup while Newlands stadium will be relaying its turf.
Communication Officer for Ajax Cape Town Mark Meyer said, “We will identify the specific venues and after represent them to the PSL and the PSL will make a decision according to its criteria”.
Edries Burton the Chief Operation Officer for Santos admitted that it will be a challenge for the team.
Burton believes that with the stakeholders working together they can find the venue.
The new PSL season will begin in August and is expected to end by February 28 next year.
Over 300 hundred games will be played in a period of 6 months. The reason behind the short season is to give Bafana Bafana coach Joel Santana more time to prepare.
