The Province's worst serial rapist Tsediso Letsoenya,38, a former leading seaman was sentenced yesterday July 10, after he was found guilty on all rape charges against him .

Letsoenya embarked on a reign of terror across the Western Cape, especially railway stations between 2001 and 2005.

The High Court Judge Abe Motale handed one of the most severe verdict against
Letsoenya.

He sentenced to five life terms along with additional 243 years behind bars.

The state is satisfied with the punishment and it hoped this would set an example for similar offenders who must be dealt with as harshly as possible.

Letsoenya is only eligible for parole after 25 years in jail.
