Parliaments Committees on Public Accounts held a hearing today on the Auditor Generals report about the N2 Gateway Project. The special audit was requested by the previous Department of Housing.
The hearing was attended by the national and provincial Departments of Human Settlements and the City of Cape Town Municipality.
According to a press release, the Departments and City failed to answer questions from the report. Instead of answering the questions, a game of blame shifting ensued between the two bodies.
As a result, the meeting has been postponed to the 5 August.
