Police are still searching for a Gordon's Bay man

Police are still searching for a driver who is believed to have driven his car off the cliff into the sea in Gordon’s Bay on Saturday night.

It is reported that the driver from Somerset West was reported missing on Sunday, a day aftr his disappearance. Police said Fronneman was reported missing by a friend who got worried when he and other family and friends could not get hold of him.

The following morning a concerned friend set off in search of Fronnema and found tyre marks just before Steenbars River Bridge on the R44.

It is reported that police divers were dispatched to the scene yesterday but were battling to surf due to heavy swells.This afternoon police were still unable to confirm whether the driver of the vehicle is Henk Fronneman, 36, from Somerset West.
