More than a 100 protestors took to the streets in Salt River, Cape Town in strike action to employers at their construction sites.
The protestors wielding knob kierries, demanded that their employers give them a 13% wage increase and call for better working conditions.
The protestors were marching from different constructions sites in a bid to seek solidarity from their counter-parts. They workers halt work at their sites joining the national strike of other construction workers at 2010 stadiums across the country.
With police presence the workers did no damage at the sites and no one was injured, during the protest.
Although their employers refused to give an ear the workers say they hope their employers will address their grievances and attend to the matters soon.
