A 36-year-old man has been arrested near Bishop Lavis today, in connection with the deadly shooting in a Khayelitsha shebeen on Sunday night.
During the shooting at the shebeen two people were killed and five were injured and are still in hospital.
The police’s November Philander said the man resisted arrest and when the police approached him, the suspect fired a shot at police who was outside the house, whereby a police was injured in his left hand.
Philander added that the police also confiscated 38 Special pistol, as well as nine bags of drugs in his house.
