In line with media speculation last week, President Jacob Zuma has announced a Cabinet reshuffle that sees seven government ministers replaced.
Barbara Hogan, Siphiwe Nyanda, Membathisi Mdladlana, Buyelwa Sonjica, Makhenkesi Stofile, Noluthando Mayende-Sibiya and Geoff Doidge are no longer ministers.
New ministers consist of Mildred Oliphant, Fikile Mbalula, Paul Mashatile and Malusi Gigaba.
Zuma says the appointments have been made with the aim of improving service delivery.
Some of the changes include Roy Padyachie taking over the Communications portfolio from Siphiwe Nyanda.
Lulu Xingwana moves from Arts and Culture to the Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities.
These are the new ministers and their departments:

Arts and Culture: Paul Mashatile
Social Development: Bathabile Dlamini
Water and Environmental Affairs: Edna Molewa
