MEC Winde robbed today

 MEC of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Alan Winde was robbed while cycling to work this morning.

He was robbed off his cell phone, but it was later recovered.

Charges have been laid against the suspect, and he has since been arrested.

MEC Winde said the incident has strengthened his determination to make cycling and walking safer and easier for everyone in the province.

 Winde said his message to cyclists is for them to be vigilant, and that cycling and walking to work is a big drive to get people healthy.
