The National Union of Mineworkers in the Western Cape has condemned the alleged employing of Gangs by Good Hope Construction as securities in their site.

NUM Provincial organiser Benson Ngqetsu said they are appalled by the conduct of Good Hope construction by subjecting their members.

Ngqetsu added they are prepared to roll out mass action, in response to this barbaric act by the employer.

Recent flare ups in gang violence in Manenberg were rooted in the employment of rival gang members for security by construction companies which were upgrading council flats.
