ANC NEC member Tony Yengeni has told the court today he did not endanger anyone’s life on the night he was arrested for alleged drunk driving.

Yengeni is back on the witness stand for the resumption of his trial in the Cape Town Magistrates Court today.

The state claims the politician was three times beyond the legal limit, but he says he only had three sips of traditional beer hours before his arrest.

Under cross examination by Prosecutor Leon Snyman, Yengeni has allegedly denied that he was driving recklessly on the night he was arrested.
