Lynda Ondendal resigned from Congress of the People and as the Member of Parliament.
Odendaal handed her resignation letter to the party President Mousia Lekota yesterday.
The reason for her departure will be released after a meeting with Mousia Lekota.
"I'm not a bit intimidated by senior politicians, because I have the interests of people at heart," those were the words of Odendaal when she joined COPE last year.
