Deputy president Kgalema Montlanthe will address the 5th International Aids Society Conference in Cape Town today .
In a media statement from the presidency, his address is in the context of Government‘s commitment to tackle the scourge of HIV/AIDS head on.
According to the statement, his address is also to strengthen the partnership between government, business and civil society in the fight against HIV and AIDS as well as tuberculosis.
The conference is held every two years and is viewed as opportunity for the world’s leading scientists, clinics, public health experts and community leaders to examine the latest developments in HIV related research, the statement said.
