Monde Zilwa appeared in Wynberg Regional Court yesterday on the charges of raping, strangling and stabbing a nine year old girl.
Zilwa 21, from Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay rapped the girl on Sunday afternoon.
The girl was walking home with other girls from the beach.
He was identified by other children two days later and he was arrested.
Zilwa pleaded guilty to all charges and jailed a life sentence and sentenced 10 years of attempted murder and six of theft for other cases.
