307 motorists have been fined for driving without a licence. The Metro Police have issued another 175 fined for unlicensed motor vehicles. This comes as the City of Cape Town implements new traffic by -laws.
Metro police spokesperson Nosiseko Samuels said they have arrested 8 motorists under the influences of alcohol and while other two people was arrested for assault.
“A total of 686 offences were recorded and almost a half of those people that were arrested were driving without licences” said Samuels.
Samuels also said they have had a major success in past to apprehend drunken drivers in the public road.
