The Western Cape Transport Department has a plan on dividing the number of road deaths.

Transport minister Robin Carlisle declare that police will not hesitate to stage roadblocks outside city drinking holes to stamp out drunk driving.

Carlisle blamed drunken driving and speed as the two major killers.

This is after this week’s SA Roadlink crash on the N1 near Beaufort West that claimed seven lives.
