It will be known today by officials at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court, where the temporary courtrooms will be established after last week’s fire.
A blaze swept through the upper level of the historic building, causing severe disruptions to proceedings.
The justice department’s spokesperson Tlali Tlali said justice officials met with their counterparts in the National Prosecuting Authority, Legal Aid Board and the police at the Pretoria City Hall on Monday morning.
However, he said it was decided to first meet with the Department of Public Works, which plays a critical role in allocating state accommodation, before announcing the plans.
The investigation is still continuing, the fire was believed to have been caused by arson.
More than 20-thousand court documents were destroyed during the fire.
