A professor suspended at Steve Biko Academic Hospital

The Gauteng Department of Health said a hospital professor working at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital was suspended after an alleged racial attack at staff members.

Gauteng Health Department Spokesperson Simon Zwane said an investigation into the matter is underway. 

Zwane confirmed that there is a disciplinary process underway involving a professor at Steve Biko Academic hospital.

“As respect to the process I will not give details of what the charges are until the matter has been finalised,” Zwane added.
