A member of National Union of Mineworkers was on Thursday stabbed to death while he was on his way to work at Union Mine in Limpopo.

Num has strongly condemned the continuous killings of its members in the platinum belt.  NUM National Spokesperson Livhuwani Mammburu said there is no need for striking workers to be violent during their industrial action.

Mammburu said he is one of the members that returned to work last but he was told some members not to work.

He added that victim had to run and stay somewhere in Rustenburg for the fear of his life.
