The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape has called for no bail for the man arrested in the child abuse case of a two year old in Beaufort West.

It is alleged he forced the boy to eat his own faeces, slapped and kicked the boy in the face, burned his feet with boiling water and also put a cement brick on the child's chest.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said authorities need to leave no stone unturned as they get to the bottom of the abuse.

Christians said we are asking that the police does a solid job to ensure that the prosecutors have all the necessary evidence and documentations to ensure the prosecution that this guy will be locked if found guilty.

“The ACDP is also calling on no bail for the perpetrator and no parole for any violent crimes against women and children Christians added.
