Southern Cape police urged residents to stop spreading rumours

The Southern Cape police have appealed to community members in the area to stop spreading rumours, that children are being kidnapped in the area.

Police spokesperson Malcom Pojie said it is alleged that vehicles involved in these so called abductions were spotted near George.

Pojie said these reports were doing rounds on social networks in George and Knysna.

 Pojie said community members should remain alert to the possibility of crime and report any incidents to the police.
