16 drivers arrested in the WC

Western Cape Traffic Authority held 12 roadblocks throughout the province last night.

The Authorities tested 1359 drivers for alcohol.

Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said they arrested 16 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Africa further said there were more arrests of people caught with drugs.

He added that the amount of fines issued is R86 190,00.

There were two fatalities reported, two people died when two BMW`s collided near Paarl.
