Scrap metal bust in Cape Town

City of Cape Town’s Metal Theft Unit  Wednesday made a bust at a scrap dealership in Kensington.

The  unit exposed a shipping container filled with several crates of manhole covers.

Officers were inspecting the container when a city van driven by municipal officials stopped by the premises to drop off suspected stolen goods.

Municipal officials and a Korean national have been arrested.
