The Western Cape Community Safety Department has found that there is a recruitment company that is fraudulently using the Western Cape Government’s name to recruit traffic officers.

It is alleged that the company lures prospective candidates to submit their cv`s and pay a R150.

The Community Safety Department has distanced itself from this type of recruitment.

Departmental Spokesperson Deidre Foster said they want to warn the public about the activity taking place and to ensure that the public is not lured into this fraud activity and subsequently loose money because of it.

We are appealing to everyone to contact the fraud hotline on 0800 701 701 or you can also visit our website at www.westerncape.gov.za
