The Congress of South African Trade Unions
has congratulated the African National Congress on their win in the Fifth South
African General Elections.
About 98.5 percent votes have been declared
and the ANC got 62.2 percent followed by the Democratic Alliance with
22.2percent.
Cosatu Spokesperson Patrick Craven said
this victory for the ANC in eight provinces out of nine shows that the majority
of South Africans still believe in the party.
Craven said the party will continue to
provide for the people as it has been doing since 1994, and this victory
coincides with the celebrations of 20years of democracy in this country.
