Government says it is encouraged by reports that the voting process across the country is going well.

GCIS Acting CEO Phumla Williams said security agencies and other components of government will attend to complaints as and when they are received by the IEC or other authorities.
Williams added that all the voting stations have opened and the voting is happening peacefully. They would like to take this opportunity to encourage voters to take pre cautionary measures as they stand in those queues.

Williams concluded that voters should take water along to hydrate themselves. Voters that are on medication should take their medication along to try and minimize some of the medical emergencies that have been reported.
