Two people have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 21-year-old woman in Soweto.
They were allegedly part of a group of five men who abducted the women from her house in Zola yesterday.
Their victim was taken and locked inside a shack, but she managed to call her step father for help.
After rescuing the women, the kidnappers assaulted her step father.
They were arrested in the early hours this morning.
The police’s Kay Makhubele said, “They will be facing charges of assault, grievous bodily harm and kidnapping.
