The South African Democratic Teachers Union says the Posts-for Cash Scam is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public in the run-up to the elections.

This follows allegations of job promotion racketeering by Sadtu members.

Sadtu General Secretary Mugwena Maluleke said people who have information about the post for cash need to approach the department of education so that corruption can be rooted out in the education system.

Maluleke said Sadtu has also took a decision to ensure that those involved in this must face the might of the law.
