Three people left injured after their cars collided with horses

Three people sustained moderate injuries when their cars collided with two horses on the R55 in Rooihuiskraal west of Pretoria.

It is believed that after the three vehicles collided into the horses they overturned several times.

ER24 Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene where they found three vehicles that had overturned.

Vermaak said it is understood that one of the vehicle collided with one of a horse in the middle of the road the vehicle then overturned several times.

Vermaak said The second vehicle collide with a another horse that was 300m down the road a third vehicle also collided with one of the horses that was killed that was lying in the middle of the road and also overturned.

“Paramedics found the vehicles several metres apart from each other. All three drivers sustained scrapes and bruises they were treated on the scene but all declined to go through to hospital Vermaak added.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
