Metro Police in the Western Cape have launched a new web page that the public can use to submit tip offs anonymously.

The Community Safety and Security Mayco Member JP Smith said residents can still use the hotline and also the new web page.

Smith added that the aim of this web page is to ensure that the fight against drugs and domestic violence is intensified. This means that they can improve on their track record. In the first three months of this year, metro police had an incredibly impressive 600 drug related arrests for the first quarter.

Smith concluded that this was thanks to the tip offs by the public. All the complaints they have received so far have come through the call centre number 021 480 77 00 which the public can continue to use.
