Makhubela said police received a tip-off about his whereabouts and followed up
on the information.
It is alleged that Sebolai murdered his
girlfriend and locked her inside her flat.
He then allegedly called the woman’s friend and confessed to killing
her.
It is understood Sebolai was on his way to Pretoria
Makhubela added, “responding to the
tip-off, police observed the suspects house and acted swiftly when he appeared
to be leaving at around 10 am this morning.”
Police confirmed the suspect will be
detained in Jabulani and will appear in the Protea Magistrates Court soon.
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela clarified
that the investigation is still on-going.
