Deputy Trade and Industry Minister Maria Ntuli has reiterated President Jacob Zuma’s statement that the government cannot continue to blame apartheid for failing to improve the lives of South Africans after being in power for 16 years.
Newsflash reports that Ntuli spoke today during a dti campaign in Kokstad in KwaZulu-Natal.
Ntuli blamed the mindset of South Africans from impoverished communities who had accepted poverty as part of their heritage.
She urged young people to stop depending on child support grants and to seize the economic opportunities government had provided.
