The trial of the former police chief Jackie Selebi is resuming in the South Gauteng High Court today.
Last proceedings on the case were on Thursday where Prosecutor Giel Nel asked for more time in preparing lines for his cross-examination.
Nel told Judge Meyer Joffe he wants to focus on money matters and that line of questioning could take some time.
He will focus on spending patterns in Selebi’s bank accounts and a KPMG audit report on the former-police chief’s lifestyle during the time period under scrutiny.
This is the seventh day Selebi is on witness stand for corruption and defeating the ends of justice.
