Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi`s recent call to distribute condoms to school, has met mixed reactions.

The African Christian Democratic Party said this would encourage learners to be sexually active.

ACDP Spokesperson Cherryllyn Dudley says the experience of other countries indicate the distribution of condoms encourages the culture of sexual sex.

Equal Education says providing condoms in schools will not increase sexual activity or encourage children to break the law.

Equal Education Spokesperson Yoliswa Dwane said a programme will be launched to educate children about sex.
