WC well prepared for matric exams

In two weeks time the Grade 12 learners in South Africa will start with their matric exams for the year 2012.

The Western Cape Education Department says it is ready for the exams, with all planning officially done.

The Western Cape has around 45,000 Grade 12 learners that will be writing their final exams.

Department Spokesperson Paddy Attwell said all the preparations are done and they are more than ready.

Attwell said more than 3,000 markers have been appointed and the papers are in place.

He added that they have appointed around 1200 invigilators to monitor the exams.
