NSRI in Soweto found the body of off duty police officer

The body of an off duty police officer, was recovered in Soweto following Search and Rescue team efforts, according reports this is after the police officer went missing following heavy floods in Soweto on Friday.

Soweto and several parts of the Johannesburg Metro have been severely impacted by the floods that caused damage to roads, houses, businesses and power supply infrastructure. So far more than 400 people have directly been impacted.

Craig Lambinon NSRI spokeperson said that the 36-year-old Warrant Officer Ntsako Pataka’s private vehicle was swept away while driving on a submerged road.
