Construction sector shows growth in job creation

The Western Cape’s Construction Sector has once again returned to growth.

After experiencing a decline in jobs during the global recession, in 2010, jobs in the Construction sector rose again by 1.1 percent.

Western Cape, MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Alan Winde on Tuesday visited a construction site, where the Portside Towers are being built.

Winde said that the site is going to have up to a thousand workers and when linked with other Constructions that are happening in the country it shows a growth.

He added that government is investing in construction.
