Congress of South African Trade Union in the Western Cape have come out and condemned the violence that occurred during the truck drivers strike.

Cosatu’s Provincial Secretary Tony Ehrenreich said they support the legitimate struggle of workers but condemn assaults on innocent people.

Ehrenreich said members must help to expose those who used the cover of the strike to attack other workers.

The three-week strike left several truck drivers injured and a Cape Town driver dead.
