The Democratic Alliance has expressed its concerns regarding the decision by the Statistics of South Africa to grant government early exclusive access to the 2011 census results.

DA’s Shadow Deputy Minister of Finance David Ross said the decision by Stats SA leaves interested parties out of the loop.

Ross said the findings should be made available to all South Africans.

He also said the opposition parties can not effectively hold government to account when they are left in the dark.

He added that, they will request for the results to be presented to the Standing Committee.
