Lawyers for a fifth man implicated in the murder of teacher Jayde Panayiotou say they have yet to study the case docket.

Zolani Sibeko briefly appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates Court yesterday after his arrest last week.

Christopher Panayiotou, accused of hiring men to murder his wife, will go on trial in October along with two co-accused.

Sibeko's defence team says it will consider submitting a bail application only after studying the case against him.

The matter has therefore been remanded until Wednesday.

Police arrested the suspect at his Greenbushes home after cellphone records allegedly placed him outside Jayde’s residence on the day she was kidnapped.
