Certain parts of Johannesburg have fallen victim to two tornadoes in the last few days and the latest sighting passed over Tembisa and was captured on camera by bystanders.

The tornado passed through Thembisa at approximately 4pm, damaging Phumulani Mall‚ Tembisa Hospital and a Total garage‚ both in Hospital View.

Many took to social media to share footage they captured of the natural disaster as it crashed down and damaged buildings and caused complete chaos on the roads.

Several emergency response teams rushed through to Tembisa yesterday afternoon shortly after the extreme winds erupted. Paramedics and rescue workers found debris scattered across the parking lot of the mall as well as twisted metal laying at the entrance of the mall.

Several vehicles were damaged, roofs blown off and three people sustained minor injuries.

The area was closed off by the local police and emergency services.
