Seven injured in three car pile up

Seven people were left injured after the vehicle they traveling in collided with a taxi and bakkie on Vanguard Road in the direction of Cape Town.

“ER24 arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle on its side, while the taxi and bakkie were near the intersection. There was three occupants from the light motor vehicle injured of which two had suffered serious injuries,” said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.

The taxi passengers and three other people were treated for minor injuries.
It is believed that the light motor vehicle was traveling on the N2 from the Strand and took the off ramp when the collision occurred between the three vehicles.

“The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident,” said Banks.
