The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape the fact that the province has the lowest percentage of 16 to 18-year-olds studying is a big concern.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said a comprehensive plane to address this poor state of affairs is needed.  These groups are targeted and recruited by gangs because they cannot do better Christians

“We will have to put money in education in order to get these people out off the streets and where people cannot afford school fees in poor communities they should go to school free of charge and where help is needed they at least get a subsidy to keep them in school. Because we know paying school fees is one of the major reasons where we have school dropouts,” Christians said.
