A body of a UCT student found at a residence

The University of Cape Town has confirmed that the body of 22-year-old student Nnete Mojaesi Malebo was found in her room on Thursday.

In a statement released by UCT it stated that the student was about to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Science. 

UCT’s Spokesperson Patricia Lucas said the university extends its condolences to friends and family of Nnete.

Lucas said the university is providing the necessary support to the Malebo family to return the body to Bloemfontein for burial. Counselling has also been provided for fellow students.

The cause of her death is still unknown however an investigation is underway.  The funeral will be held on the 1st of November in Bloemfontein.
