Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut said a
tanker truck was spotted under suspicious circumstances packed close to a
pumped station which was operational at the time, pumping diesel from a tanker
vessel.
Traut said upon investigation police
discovered an illegal connection where diesel was intercepted. The tanker truck
which was full with 34 00 litres of diesel was confiscated.
“The suspects are expected to appear in
court once they have been charged and the circumstances surrounding the
incident are being investigated” Traut added.
