400 arrested in North West police operations

A suspect was arrested in an operation conducted by police in the Platinum Belt. He has been linked to 35 cases.

According to Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone, the crimes were committed in Madikwe, Koster, Swartruggens and Groot Marico.

Colonel Mokgwbone added, “the suspect is linked to a number of crimes ranging from hijacking, robberies and house breaking. The crimes were committed between 2009 and 2014.”

It is understood before he was arrested for the aforementioned crimes, the suspect was arrested for being in possession of stolen goods.

The North West police have conducted a string of operations, yielding great results with 400 people being arrested; some of the suspects linked to other crimes.
