South Africa under no threat of Ebola virus

Government has reiterated that the country’s tourism sector is under no threat from the Ebola virus. 
Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi in a statement said the risk of Ebola being introduced to South Africa remains very low and the tourism industry remain vibrant and lucrative. 

Over 1 229 people have died from Ebola on the African continent.  

GCIS’s Bongiwe Gambu said we also want to reiterate the confidence in the system that Minister Moetsaeledi in few days ago announced 10 hospitals that have been identified and that have been capacitated in each and every province to deal with such any incidents of Ebola virus should it arrive

“We remain vigilant at our Port of entry whether it is at our borders as well as at our Airports to deal with such issues or any suspected person.” Gambu added.
