The Democratic Alliance has raised its concern regarding the establishment of the ad hoc committee to consider the Nkandla scandal.

DA Parliamentary Leader Mmusi Maimane said the committee is predestined to fail as it will be limited to only consider what the President has said, and not what the Public Protector has recommended.

Maimane said the ad hoc committee must be able to interrogate those documents.

He added that we should not be setting up a committee that will lose and hope and not be able to hold politicians in involved in this matter responsible.
