11 people injured after vehicle hits cow

Eleven people were injured when a vehicle overturned and three other vehicles crashed into the initial scene on the N11 in Charleston outside of Volksrust, KwaZulu Natal.

It is understood that a vehicle collided with a cow on the N11 resulting in the driver losing control of the vehicle.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak reported the vehicle overturned seven times and came to a standstill in the middle of the road.

Three other vehicles crashed into the scene which resulted in further injuries.

“Three children aged between three and seven years were among the injured.” Vermaak said.

All of the injured were transported to Madadeni Hospital for further treatment.


Local authorities were on scene for further investigation Vermaak concluded.
