Workers affiliated to the
National Education Health and Allied Workers Union in Parliament have agreed to
suspend their strike action which has taken seven days.
The decision to suspend the
protest action, according to the workers representatives, is based on the
agreement reached between Nehawu and management during today’s meeting in Parliament.
“The performance bonus will be
based on the annual salary just as we have been arguing the agreement that we
signed in March.” Nehawu Parliament Branch Chairperson Sthembiso Tembe said.
